  1. When I win the first trick of the game,  I may 
  2. play another card in the original suit if I think
  3. it might me a winner, as is the case here.
  4.  
  5. Other possibilities I watch for include:
  6. 1.  If partner led a singleton and I have a suit
  7. with winners (void or otherwise), I play to
  8. partner's void while giving suit preference.
  9. 2.  I always attempt to void myself if I can
  10. maintain control before playing to a winner in
  11. partner's hand.
  12. 3.  I can try to develop another suit before
  13. playing to partner's void, if I can do so
  14. without losing control. This is very important
  15. if several tricks are needed to defeat contract.
  16. 4.  I can attack a new suit after examining
  17. dummy and the original play of partner.
  18. 5.  I can return the original suit if partner
  19. likely has winners in it.
  20. 6.  I can play from a singleton or doubleton.
